The Top-of-the-Mountain concerts kick off and accompany the winter season in Ischgl all the way into spring. cross-country-skiing in Paznaun

Between Silvretta and Verwall, cross-country skiers will find their paradise. The Ischgl & Galtür cross-country region offers an 80 km long interconnected network of trails for endless enjoyment, whether skating or in classic style. Starting in winter 2024/25, the region will feature an exciting new addition: the 2 km long Ischgl trail, where you can continue your sporting pleasure even after dark. Between the Paznaun settlement and the trail bridge, you can cross-country ski under floodlights until 9:30 PM.

tobogganing

Ischgl’s nighttime toboggan run starts at 2,320 meters at the top station of the Silvrettabahn and invites you to enjoy tobogganing under the starry sky from mid-December, every Monday and Thursday. At seven kilometers in length, it is one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria, guaranteeing an exhilarating ride on two runners. After a vertical drop of 950 meters, you’ll reach your destination in the night-time beauty of Ischgl. Toboggans can be rented at the starting point.

Additional toboggan runs, which can also be used during the day, are available in Kappl and on the Medrigalm in See.

ice skating at the Silvretta Therme

Since 2022, Ischgl has had a winter attraction like no other. Around the Silvretta Therme, an ice skating rink has been created where you can skate around the building’s first floor, partly outdoors and partly indoors. A unique experience that can be enjoyed from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. From 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM, refreshments are also available at the ice bar.

Ice skating is free for children up to 6 years old.

In winter, Ischgl becomes a vibrant metropolis for snow-loving holidaymakers seeking adventure. The famous Top-of-the-Mountain concerts have become an institution and, since 1995, have brought pop legends such as Robbie Williams, Elton John, Helene Fischer, Kings of Leon, and Lenny Kravitz to the Idalp above Ischgl. Today, these popular events take place four times a year, from the winter opening in early December to the closing concert at the end of the ski season.

In January, the snow sculpture competition “Forms in White” transports visitors to imaginative worlds on the Idalp. Late winter and spring are then all about “Spring Blanc”: the time when the sun brings spring vibes to the slopes.
