ski holiday in Ischgl, Austria

No other place in the Alps is as synonymous with ski holidays as Ischgl. Here, you’ll find not only the finest slope enjoyment in a modern ski resort but also a comprehensive experience that has it all – from gastronomy and entertainment to wellness and relaxation offerings.

Ski holiday in Tyrol’s third-largest ski resort

The cross-border Silvretta Arena offers a truly extraordinary ski area for your ski holiday in Ischgl. With nearly 240 kilometers of slopes, reaching heights of up to 2,870 meters, 46 modern lift facilities, and 1,100 snow cannons, it provides the perfect foundation for an exhilarating skiing experience in Tyrol’s third-largest ski resort.

Here, you’ll find 47 km of blue, 140 km of red, and 47 km of black runs. In addition, there are two fun parks, race tracks, mogul slopes, and literally breathtaking highlights for an unforgettable ski holiday in Ischgl.

A ski holiday in Tyrol is full of slope highlights

The longest descent: “The Eleven” gets its name from its length. This extraordinary run starts at 2,872 meters above sea level on the Greitspitze, at the border to Switzerland, and descends all the way to Ischgl, passing through Idalp. Over its 11 kilometers, you’ll cover 1,501 meters of varied elevation, starting on a black run, then transitioning to red and partly blue slopes.

The steepest descent: With a gradient of up to 70%, this is a true challenge – and undoubtedly a spectacular test of courage that only experienced skiers should attempt. From the Greitspitze, the slope 14a descends 633 meters over 1.8 kilometers.

The Smuggler’s Circuit: In three variations, the Smuggler’s Circuit covers up to 61.8 km and 13,740 meters of elevation through an area where, during the post-war period, nylon stockings, coffee, and tobacco were smuggled.

Ischgl – the perfect holiday spot

Ischgl offers everything you could wish for in a ski holiday in Tyrol. Fantastic restaurants, numerous bars and cafés, as well as hotels where you can find the perfect balance to the action on the slopes – such as our historic 4-star hotel located right in the center of Ischgl.

Tip: At our fire & ice restaurant, you can enjoy excellent dining in Ischgl, just next to the Silvrettabahn.

Numerous lines are located directly near the pistes. Particularly popular freeride areas can be found at Piz Val Gronda at 2,812 meters above sea level, and in the Ravaischer Salaas area, extending all the way down to Samnaun.

events

good vibes

Tyrolean winter is filled with exciting events. For many, the highlight of a ski holiday in Ischgl are the “Top of the Mountain” concerts, which accompany the ski season from the grand opening in November to the spring and Easter concerts, all the way to the closing concert at the end of the season. The mood is particularly sunny during Spring Blanc, when, starting in early April, the spring weather and concerts add to the enjoyment on the slopes.

restaurants & huts in the Ski Resort

enjoy our meal

Tyrolean cuisine is just as tempting as the skiing here is popular. The Silvretta Arena offers numerous mountain huts and restaurants directly on the slopes, as well as at the base and summit stations of various ski lifts. For example, the Pardorama at the top station of the Pardatschgratbahn entices with delicious food and a spectacular view at an altitude of 2,624 meters. On the Idalp, three restaurants and ski huts await you, each with great sun terraces. Wherever you are, a hearty meal is never far away in the Silvretta Arena.

Down in Ischgl, you’ll find a wide range of regional and international cuisine – from Michelin-starred restaurants to cozy taverns, from Tyrolean dumplings to sushi.

Of course, you’ll always be well taken care of at our Tyrolean hotel with half-board.
