Bike & Hike Tour in Tirol: Hohe Köpfe
A moderately difficult bike & hike tour through the beauty of Tyrol, starting at the 4-star Hotel Goldener Adler in the centre of Ischgl.
Set off by bike from the hotel in the direction of the Silvrettaseilbahn cable car and cross the Silvrettaplatz until you reach the Paznauntalstraße. Follow it to the Paznaunweg, which leads over the Trisanna. Now continue along the valley floor to Mathon. Follow the edge of the forest past Mathon until you reach the road on the valley floor again in the hamlet of Preserau. After you have passed Valzur, take the forest path towards Friedrichshafener Hütte. The route continues through the forest in wide hairpin bends up to above the tree line. The Friedrichshafener refuge is picturesquely situated at 2,138 metres above sea level on a small lake and offers a fantastic view of the Silvretta and the imposing Fluchthorn.
From now on, your bike & hike tour through Tyrol’s mountains continues on foot towards Heilbronner Hütte. When you reach the fork in the path, follow the Georg Prasser trail in the direction of Schafbichljoch. The final ascent to the summit leads past the beautiful Brüllersee lake to the Hohe Köpfe at 2,608 metres.
At the 4-star Hotel Goldener Adler in Ischgl, a wellness oasis with pool and sauna awaits you after your bike & hike tour through Tyrol’s mountains. As part of the half board at our hotel in Tyrol, we conjure up invigorating culinary delights from the regional cuisine on your plate.
